Privacy Policy

Snapling is built for personal memories. This policy explains what the app handles, why it handles it, where it goes, and how you can delete it.

Effective September 11, 2026

1. Who operates Snapling

Snapling is operated by VEDANTHA KARTHEEK T S. In this policy, “Snapling,” “we,” and “us” refer to that operator.

2. The short version

  • Snapling does not require you to create a Snapling account.
  • Snapling does not sell personal data.
  • Snapling has no advertising or cross-app tracking, and does not send general album-use data to analytics services.
  • Your albums are stored on your device and sync through your private iCloud database.
  • RevenueCat processes limited purchase and device information to provide Snapling Unlimited.

3. Information Snapling handles

Purchase and entitlement informationTo validate purchases, unlock paid features, restore purchases, and provide purchase reportingApple and RevenueCat

4. Photos and videos

Snapling accesses only items you select in Apple’s photo picker or, if you grant broader Photos access, items from an album you choose. Snapling stores reduced copies made for screen viewing. Your originals remain in the Photos library and are not replaced.

Photos are stored at approximately 2,000 pixels on their longest edge, with smaller thumbnails for browsing. Videos are compressed to 1080p. A compressed video that is too large for iCloud sync is kept only on the device where it was imported.

A Live Photo is imported as a still photo. Snapling does not store its motion component. On-device face detection may be used to improve photo framing. It does not identify people, create a face profile, or send face information to us.

5. Storage and iCloud

Snapling uses Apple SwiftData and CloudKit to store album data locally and sync it through the private database of the iCloud account signed in on your device. Apple operates iCloud and applies its own terms and privacy policy. We do not operate a separate server that receives your albums.

6. Device authentication

If you lock an album, Snapling asks Apple’s Local Authentication system to verify you with Face ID or the device passcode. Snapling receives only the success or failure result. It does not receive or store your biometric data.

7. Purchases and RevenueCat

Snapling offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase called Snapling Unlimited. It is not a subscription. Apple processes the payment. RevenueCat helps Snapling determine whether the purchase is active and restore it on another device.

RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, purchase and receipt information, entitlement status, device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and related technical information. Snapling does not send your photos, album contents, name, or email address to RevenueCat. RevenueCat’s handling is governed by its own privacy policy.

RevenueCat uses purchase history for app functionality and purchase analytics, including receipt validation, restoring entitlements, and purchase reporting. Snapling does not use this information for advertising or tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.

Any service provider that receives user data from Snapling must provide the same or equivalent protection described in this policy and required by Apple’s App Review Guidelines.

Learn more in the RevenueCat Privacy Policy and Apple Privacy Policy.

8. Website data

This website does not include advertising, analytics, contact forms, or marketing cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated before those tools are enabled.

9. Retention and deletion

Album data remains until you delete it. Deleting an album in Snapling removes the album and its imported media from the app and syncs that deletion through iCloud. Deleting the app removes its local data, but data already stored in iCloud may remain until you delete it through the app or your iCloud settings.

Apple keeps App Store transaction records under its policies. RevenueCat keeps purchase-related records under its policy. To request deletion of purchase-related data held through RevenueCat, email us at ved.thirumala@gmail.com. Some transaction records may be retained when required for security, accounting, tax, or legal obligations. Deleting RevenueCat data does not cancel or refund an Apple purchase.

10. Your choices

  • Choose which photos and videos to import.
  • Change Photos access at any time in Apple Settings.
  • Use Snapling without locking albums.
  • Delete individual albums and their imported media inside Snapling.
  • Manage iCloud data through Apple’s device and account settings.

11. Security and policy changes

Snapling relies on Apple’s app sandbox, device protection, and private iCloud database. No system can guarantee absolute security. If this policy changes materially, the updated date will change and the new policy will be posted here.
